Naturalist Michael Elsohn Ross has been leading birding tours, bird watching workshops, and custom birding trips in Yosemite since 1977. Michael is equally comfortable and adept at leading groups (no larger than 12), as well as families, couples, and individuals. As a long time resident of El Portal, at the park’s western boundary, he has developed an intimate knowledge of Yosemite birds and birding hotspots in and around the park.
If you are interested in a quality bird watching experience with one of the Yosemite’s most experienced birders, contact Michael. He can suggest a variety of birding locations, suited to the time of your visit to Yosemite. Birding tours can be arranged for clubs, organizations, tour groups, families, or school students. Check out the list of Yosemite bird species found in a variety of locations in the park.
